Nancy has been the Chief Executive Officer of Heep Hong Society since 1981. The Society is one of the leading NGOs providing early intervention and support services for children and youth with special needs and their families. Graduated from the University of Southwestern Medical Center at Texas, USA, majored in Rehabilitation Science, Nancy has gained extensive experience in special education and rehabilitation services. She is currently serving on the advisory committees of the HKSAR Government, Hospital Authority, Hong Kong Council of Social Service, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, etc. She had been the Chairperson of the Pre-school Network, which is the coordinating body for all NGOs providing services for special needs children aged 0 to 6, for more than 20 years. Under Nancy’s leadership, Heep Hong Society pioneered various new services and the latest one being the On Site Pre-school Rehabilitation Service which was officially launched by the Government in November, 2015.
Since the year 2000, she has begun leading her team to provide training and consultations to the teachers and rehabilitation personnel in Taiwan, Mainland China and Macau. She was conferred Honorary University Fellowship by the Open University of Hong Kong in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the professional field of rehabilitation services in November, 2016. She will be retiring from Heep Hong Society on January 1, 2019 after serving for 37 years.
