Heidi is currently the Board member of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation and Heep Hong Society; a member of the Council of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for the Mentally Handicapped, a member of Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, a member of Rehabilitation Programme Plan Review Working Group and a member of Special Needs Trust Working Group (under Labour & Welfare Bureau, HKSAR Government). She is a Registered Social Worker and Honorary Lecturer of the Department of Social Work and Social Administrative at The University of Hong Kong. She has been serving in the rehabilitation field and social work education sectors for more than 30 years, and she is also very active in many advocacy work such as: integrated education, special need trust and employment for the people with disabilities.
Ms. Hui is a Certified Cognitive Therapist of Academy of Cognitive Therapy (USA), a Fellow of the Institute of Cognitive Therapy (HK) and also an Associated Fellow and Approved Supervisor of Hong Kong Professional Counseling Association. She has had previous roles as the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association, Vice-chairperson of Institute of Cognitive Therapy and Service Committee of Heep Hong Society, Convenor of Support Group for Integrated Education, a member of Task Force Group on Integrated Education (Education Bureau) and a member of Guardianship Board (Mental Health).
