Mr. NG Hang-sau

Senior Consultant, Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation

NG Hang-sau (伍杏修) was the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation, and is now their half-time Senior Consultant. In his capacity of CEO, Sau has responsible for the overall development of the organization, and actively involved in the planning and execution of rehabilitation programmes for persons with disabilities and older persons in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Sau, with a Master Degree in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong, is honorary advisor and lecturer to many patient self-help organizations and universities in Hong Kong and different parts of China and he has undertaken consulting assignments and project evaluation for many social welfare organizations in Macau and China. Sau actively promotes community-based rehabilitation service, and is the Honorary Advisor of the Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation. Sau is a member of the Hospital Governing Committee of Cheshire Home, Hong Kong. Sau received the Distinguished Alumni, in the 60th Anniversary of Department of Social Work and Social Administration, the University of Hong Kong in recognition of his commitment to the profession. In 2017, he was awarded an Medal of Honor MH from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for his work with the persons with disabilities and the older adults.
